The content displayed in this help article is related to functionality not currently implemented, but planned as described in The Roadmap.

Primary Location

A user is able to define his preferred location in their user settings. Synago is able to foresee gaps in attendance between communities which are physically close to each other. If multiple synagogues in the same vicinity does not have minyan separately on a given day, Synago can direct the members of one of the shuls to visit the other.

Persona

David’s primary synagogue is the Berlin Main Synagogue.

Guy

But the Chabad synagogue down the road has some pretty good kosher hot dogs.

Plan (Berlin Main)

Imagine that the Berlin Main synagogue has 7 people signed up for Monday, including David.

Scheduling

Synago will recognize the gap in minyan between two synagogues in the same vicinity, and issue a roll call amongst all users who has allowed to be contacted about minyan sharing. The members of synagogue with least current attendees will be the one’s who gets a notification.

Dear Heinrich, as you have signed up for minyan sharing, we are happy to inform you that a minyan is possible if you join the service at Berlin Main Synagogue monday. Their service starts at 7:00 AM. If you are able to attend, please respond with “yes”, otherwise respond with “no”. Best regards, Synago.
